Kaye started her position as the new V.P. of Development for Home of Guiding Hands this past July. Helping individuals with developmental disabilities is near and dear to her heart. At the age of four, Kaye’s sister was diagnosed with the genetic disorder, Prader-Willi syndrome.
Prior to joining HGH, Kaye was the Development Manager for The Arc of San Diego, where she was responsible for supporting Arc’s Auxiliaries in their fundraising efforts, agency-wide grant writing and grant management, and assisting with major gifts, special events, and capital campaign activities.
Kaye has managed her own nonprofit consulting practice for over 15 years, specializing in development planning and 501c3 completions for nonprofit start-ups. Kaye has twenty years of professional fund development experience and is certified in nonprofit management, volunteer management, and public speaking.
Kaye has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Nonprofit Leadership from the University of San Diego. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Regional Continuum of Care Council of San Diego. Kaye volunteers for Brother Bennos, a soup kitchen located in North County, leading an eight person volunteer grant writing team. Kaye has three grown children and enjoys Pilates and hiking.
