Liane has been employed with Home of Guiding Hands for over 15 years, supporting clients with developmental disabilities and their families in both residential and community-based settings. Prior to her most recent roles of managing the Community Living and Adult Family Home programs, Liane was a direct care staff for many years in the Community Living and Respite departments.
Working in a variety of positions at HGH, she has learned about each program’s unique scope and focus and gained a big-picture understanding of how the departments interact and contribute to the agency’s success as a whole. Liane is also a registered Marital and Family Therapy Intern with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. She completed her Master’s Degree at Alliant International University and interned at San Diego Hospice where she specialized in bereavement counseling, utilizing techniques from art, music and play therapy, in her work with individuals, couples, families, and children.
In her new role as V.P. of Community Services, Liane will oversee Respite, Early Childhood Education, Infant Development Assessment, Life Planning, Community Living, Adult Family Home Agency, Counseling, and Family Support Services. Her skills and track record in program design, implementation, and growth, coupled with her vision for future program development, directly aligns with the vision of our organization and makes her a great addition to HGH Executive Team.
Liane has been married to her husband, Jason, for 10 years, and they are raising two daughters, ages three and five.
