Home of Guiding Hands (HGH) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public benefit corporation (Tax ID # 95-6058273) that has been providing quality residential support and training services to individuals with developmental disabilities for more than 40 years. As a leader in the field, HGH is dedicated to supplying innovative services that meet and exceed the needs of people with developmental disabilities. Located in San Diego East County, we offer a wide range of services including community living, independent living, respite care and senior care planning.
Our 27 group homes provide 24 hour supervised care, training and support for individuals with developmental disabilities, (mental retardation, epilepsy, cerebral palsy and autism). Currently serving more than 250 individuals and their families, Home of Guiding Hands' programs are focused on helping individuals develop self-sufficiency and independence. For some, this means mastering the public transportation system in order to go to school or jobs. For others, it can be achieving the most basic of living skills such as the ability to feed themselves.
Home of Guiding Hands provides highly qualified and skilled staff to help individuals with developmental disabilities achieve these goals. We pride ourselves on our dedicated employees who work tirelessly to support those in their care.
Home of Guiding Hands also provides professional CPR and First Aid training to residential staff and to the community at large.
