Volunteer at HGH
~ Celebrating Over 40 Years in Your Community ~
Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in. - Marjorie Moore
You are invited to join the many people who are finding ways to make meaningful, rewarding contributions to their communities by volunteering. You can play a valuable role in helping HGH meet the needs of the people we serve. We are currently in need of individuals, groups and service organizations to lend a helping hand. Opportunities include serving on committees and with special events; helping with office tasks and mailings; and processing in-kind donations.
Organizations and groups looking for service projects are also welcome. Groups may adopt one of HGH's 28 homes (primary residence for six persons with developmental disabilities) for a year; or become active in home activies such as bowling, picnics, swimming, exercise, holiday parties, and small maintenance/repair projects.
People who are willing to share their special skills - internet, marketing, graphic design, and creative writing, to name a few, are always needed. Whatever your availability or skill, HGH has a need that you can help fulfill.
