Road Home Campaign A Big Success!
On June 30, Home of Guiding Hands wrapped up its first of its kind, Road Home Campaign and is pleased to announce that the program was a great success. Due to the generosity of the many friends of Home of Guiding Hands, $134,166.53 was raised to support the residential programs offered to the very special people we serve.
This campaign involved outreach to many long term donors and new friends who contributed to improve the lives of our residents with developmental disabilities. The Road Home Campaign involved a direct request to potential donors that had not been undertaken before by HGH. The project was initiated to help address the significant funding gap between the cost to provide services to residents and the limits that have been experienced with State funding sources.
Home of Guiding Hands Board President Rick Doremus said, “The Board of Directors greatly appreciates the care and compassion demonstrated by Road Home donors, who gave so generously to this fundraising effort. The Road Home Campaign will help to assure that the quality of life of our residents will remain very high in the coming year, despite the financial issues being experienced by the State.”
