29th Annual Golf Classic Pro-Am Tournament

The 29th Annual Golf Classic - Pro-Am Tournament, held Friday, October 14th, at Sycuan Resort and Casino raised over $53,000 for Home of Guiding Hands' (HGH) programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
The Golf Classic was sponsored by Grossmont Healthcare District and The Bill & Norma Verbeck Foundation. Other major sponsors included: Video Fact Documentation Service, Sycuan Casino, Hanken Cono Assad & Co., San Diego County Credit Union, Marrs Maddocks and Associates, and Barona Band of Mission Indians.
The tournament included a putting contest, on-course contests, breakfast, 18 holes of golf, lunch and dinner, followed by an awards reception featuring opportunity drawings, a silent auction and a live auction emceed by Ron Cook. Pin Up Golf Girls sold mulligans, raffle tickets, and the opportunity to play more on-course games. Trophies were awarded to the top three scoring teams, and PGA professionals competed for a share of a $5,000 purse generously donated by The Bill and Norma Verbeck Foundation.
The 2011 HGH Golf Classic Committee spent months preparing for the tournament. The committee worked hard on solidifying sponsorships, teams, and donations. Committee members included Michael Carney, Frank Gerberding, David Keltner, John Klein, Bill Kramer, Randy Rundle, Benjamin Trovaten, and Crystal Watkins.
