HGH Celebrates 40 Years of Service to San Diego Community

Home of Guiding Hands (HGH) celebrated 40 years of service to San Diegans with developmental disabilities on Wednesday, November 7 at the Hilton San Diego Resort at Mission Bay.

The 40th Anniversary Luncheon was sponsored by longtime HGH supporter Grossmont Healthcare District. Other major sponsors include: Dr. H. Glenn and Ellie Kellogg, Business Enterprises of the Viejas Bank of Kumeyaay Indians, the Barona Band of Mission Indians, Zenith, Randy and Marie Jones, Hanken Cono Assad & Company, San Diego County Credit Union, Zenith Insurance and Lyle and Jane Gabrielson.

This landmark event included lunch, video presentation and program featuring HGH historical highlights, and recognition of honored guests. Cy Young Award Winner and former San Diego Padre Randy Jones was emcee for the event, which included a Champagne Toast by Chuck & Dotty Hansen, special remarks from Judi Hauser, HGH parent, and Beth Blair, HGH resident. Walt Ekard, Chief Administrative Officer, City of San Diego was the Features speaker.
